Latvian data center operator DEAC is building a large new data centre in Riga, designed to be one of the most sustainable of its kind in the Baltic region. The new data center will enable the company to consolidate its position as a Baltic market leader and a leading service provider for companies in Europe.
“This is an incredible opportunity to build a new data center that meets companies’ needs while also caring for our environment,” said Andris Gailitis, CEO of DEAC.
The new data centre, scheduled to open in 2025, will have a capacity of up to 1,000 server racks, ensuring a minimum level of service availability of 99.98%. It will be a 10 MW facility aiming for international Tier III certification, and DEAC will use on-site solar panels to power the center with renewable energy and use backup power provided by My Neste Diesel.
Having already worked with brands such as Telefonica, Danske Bank, Unicredit bank, Latvijas Banka, and TV3 Latvija / Star FM, DEAC is chosen by international companies looking for an outsourcing center, data back office, and IT function consolidation. Commercial clients have access to cloud services, virtual servers, server and equipment colocation and more.
