Programme
Lars Aagaard, Denmark’s Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, will open the 9th annual edition of Datacenter Forum Copenhagen.
Update. Due to obligations abroad, minister Aagaard unfortunately won't be able to attend in person. He will however address the participants via a personal video message.
The trend towards increasing requirements for high-density racks and data centers is unstoppable. It is no longer rare to see 20+kW per rack, and liquid cooling is becoming irreplaceable for AI clusters with heat loads of up to 100kW and more. However, innovative unit design can help air cooling solutions close the gap of up to 50 kW and also be an ideal complement in hybrid systems. We'll show you how and why CoolWall is an excellent solution for the age of high heat loads.
Building the Green Standard: atNorth's Heat-Reuse Mega Campus
Revolutionizing data center infrastructure with sustainable solutions for hyperscalers and AI.

A Tsunami of Letters: ESG & Regulatory Compliance
With new policy, legislation, and regulation demanding more sustainable infrastructure going forward, data center operators must now face the (often-daunting) task of complying with sustainability reporting requirements. Amid the ever-growing importance of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) standards and the adoption of new regulations, such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Energy Efficiency Directive (EED), small data center operators in particular need to pay full attention to compliance. This segment will address what you need to do to prepare going forward.
With:
Brian Bade – Sales Director Nordics, CTS Nordics
Diederik Samsom – Former Chief of Staff, European Commission on Climate Action
Stefan Frenzel – Managing Director, DME & Former lead, Regional Project Community – Europe, OCP Foundation
Sofia Lisa Dinesen – Senior Vice President, Group Strategy, M&A, ESG, Communications & CEO Office, GlobalConnect
Navigating the AI Revolution
The explosion in AI demand has significant implications for the data center industry and IT management. From ever-increasing energy needs, to innovative cooling requirements, AI applications and high-performing computing are fundamentally transforming data centers across the Nordics. This segment will explore how Danish data center providers are navigating the complexities surrounding AI, working to meet their customer demands, and pioneering state-of-the-art innovation such as liquid cooling.
As AI technologies mature and are integrated across sectors, the need to collaborate closely with policymakers and local municipalities to create an enabling environment for further growth and development is critical. What should data center operators expect within Denmark's market moving forward, and how can they take advantage of the opportunities it offers?
With:
Brian Bade – Sales Director Nordics, CTS Nordics
Tor Björn Minde – Director, Head of ICE Datacenter, RISE
Nadia Carlsten – CEO, Danish Centre for AI Innovation (DCAI)
Erik Gjesdal – Segment Manager C&SP Nordic Baltic Region, Schneider Electric

Join us during the announcement of the much-anticipated results of the Data Center Survey – Denmark. This collaborative effort by Datacenter Forum and EPI offers unparalleled insights into the trends and challenges of the local data center landscape. Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and network with industry peers.
Hosted by the Danish Data Center Industry (DDI) in collaboration with Datacenter Forum, this new format will discuss the most pressing topics the industry faces in Denmark. The panel will specifically address local and EU regulation, data center growth across Denmark, and the challenges for newcomers to the Danish digital infrastructure sector.
With Henrik Hansen, Managing Director DDI, and Thomas Volder, Chairman of the Board DDI.
The design and conceptual distinctions between traditional IT power supplies and two real-world sites in Denmark are presented through a brief introduction. The discussion focuses on key improvements in total cost of ownership (TCO) aspects, including maintenance, reduced efficiency losses, and optimized use of building space. Additionally, enhanced reliability, supply performance, and grid services are highlighted as critical benefits.

Powering Denmark's Data Future
Data center markets across North America and mainland Europe increasingly face a significant challenge to growth and future investment: access to electricity. The Nordics have great connectivity with the rest of the world and – seemingly – room for growth to spare, ample space and plenty of renewable energy. How can Denmark in particular continue to capitalize on its competitive energy advantage and generate new investment opportunities in the coming years?
With:
Scott Roots, Sales Director EMEA, DC Byte
Alberto Ravagni – CEO, Net Zero Innovation Hub for Data Centers
Maria Flora Middelboe Andersen – Head of Strategic Collaborations and Partnerships, Reel
Hybrid IT in Denmark
Over the next years, a vast majority of infrastructure strategies will integrate a combination of on-premises, colocation, cloud, and edge delivery options. What are the drivers behind this trend, and how can IT operators manage the compliance, security, cost, and sustainability considerations of hybrid IT systems? And where exactly do you put your data? The recently announced hybrid collaboration between Aeven and Microsoft Denmark might provide answers.
With:
Henrik Rasmussen – Chief Commercial Officer, Aeven
Morten Thomsen – Global Partner Solutions Lead, Microsoft
Creating a 'Silicon Seabed': Subsea HPC AI Data Centres
How can European North Sea offshore technologies take another step change toward scalable energy supply and sustainability as data centers enters a new industrial scale? The technology to build offshore energy systems was started in the 1970s with oil and gas, during the 2010s large scale offshore wind farms took over with 150 GW committed in the North Sea. Today, Europe can again be pioneers to leverage 50 years of offshore infrastructure experience to build co-located large scale offshore cost and energy efficient HPC data centers – on the seabed.
