HIGH TECH + HIGH TOUCH - A futuristic perspective on (working in) data centers
Machines and robots have already taken over many of the jobs that used to be performed by humans. This development will only continue in the future. There’s no way to stop it. The question is whether the change is necessarily going to have a negative effect. It might actually end up giving us a whole new perspective on our work life!
How Microsoft thinks about future developments of the HyperScale Data Center Infrastructure on a global scale. And what it could mean for Denmark.
Learn how Microsoft is improving the performance, efficiency, power consumption, and costs of its data centers, with infrastructure innovations such as underwater data centers, liquid immersion cooling projects, hydrogen fuel cell technologies, to name but a few. Is Denmark ready to meet Microsoft’s future ambitions?

WEDISTRICT: Powering urban edge data centers on biogas with direct heat recovery
Jon Summers will talk you through the latest findings from the WEDISTRICT demo-site in Luleå where they use fuel cells to apply an innovative waste heat recovery experiment. Excess heat will be recovered from a data centre in Luleå to feed into an existing local district heating network, while generated electricity power will be used for the data center itself.
Sustainability Imperatives
Climate change places new challenges and burdens on the data center builder and operator. This session discusses possible impacts on the sector, including regulation, the effect of public opinion, extreme weather resiliency audits, and a need for supply chain reassessments.
AI and high-performance computing are pushing liquid cooling to re-enter the datacenter
It's been a long time coming, but liquid cooling is finally positioned and ready to penetrate the larger ecosystem, as some predicted it would do 15 years ago The re-entering of liquid cooling will clearly also have an effect on a greener, more efficient way of cooling datacenters, and reuse of residual heat.
Interxion’s roadmap for a sustainable future at Nordic and Global level
A view on how Science-based Targets, The GHG Protocol and EU Code of Conduct are pushing the data center industry towards a sustainable future. In this presentation Peder Bank will share insights and experience about Interxion’s current initiatives and commitments to a greener future.
- End-of-day panel
- Is Denmark ready for green data center growth?
- Can Denmark keep up with the rising demand for green energy? Especially now that energy prices are rising everywhere. Should the Danish government develop a long-term vision for green data center growth, just like Norway is doing? What should be done to facilitate green data center growth in Denmark?
